James K. Sims

Chief Executive Officer / Chairman

James Sims has served as Airgain’s Chairman of the Board since November 2003 and currently as Chief Executive Officer. Prior to joining Airgain, he was the founding partner of Silicon Valley Data Capital, and founded Silicon Valley Data Science in 2012 where he is currently the Chairman. Mr. Sims also founded Cambridge Technology Partners in 1991 where he held the position of CEO. Prior to Cambridge Technology Partners, Mr. Sims founded Concurrent Computer Corporation. He currently serves on the board of directors of various private companies including EPAY Systems, Inc., where he is currently the Chairman of the Board, Connections 365, Inc. and Bright Volt, Inc. and has previously served on the board of directors of public companies including Cambridge Technology Partners, RSA Security, Inc., where he was the Chairman, and Electronic Data Systems Corporation. He has also served as the Chairman and CEO of GEN3 Partners.

Jacob Suen

President

Mr. Suen brings over 20 years of domestic and international sales, marketing, and management experience to Airgain and is responsible for strategic direction, worldwide sales, and business development activities at the company. Previously, Mr. Suen served numerous management positions as Director of Business Development, OEM/ODM Manager, and Regional Network Consultant for Paradyne Corporation, formerly a part of AT&T and a supplier of network equipment worldwide. While at Paradyne, Mr. Suen was responsible for reducing overall cost and improved time to market in various product lines through the ODM/OEM initiative and successfully established its very first subsidiary in China. Mr. Suen has also held various product development and engineering positions at GVN Technologies and Motorola. Mr. Suen received his M.B.A. from the University of Colorado, Masters of Electrical Engineering and Management from the University of South Florida, and B.S. in Computer and Electrical Engineering from the University of Florida.

Anil Doradla

Chief Financial Officer

Mr. Doradla has served as Airgain’s Chief Financial Officer since February 2018. Mr. Doradla joins Airgain with over 20 years of experience in the finance and technology industry. Prior to Airgain, he served as an Equity Research Analyst at William Blair & Company where he covered a variety of companies in the technology space. He also previously worked with the equity research groups at Deutsche Bank and Caris & Company. Prior to working on Wall Street, he held a variety of strategic and engineering roles at SBC Labs and LCC International, Inc. Mr. Doradla holds a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from Virginia Tech and a Master of Business Administration from the McCombs School of Business at the University of Texas at Austin.

Kevin Thill

Senior Vice President of Engineering

Kevin Thill has over 30 years of antenna design experience. He received a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Arizona State University. Upon graduation, he took a position as an Antenna Engineer at McDonald Douglass, where he worked on the C-17 transport antenna system. From there, Mr. Thill went on to Northrop, where he worked as an Antenna Engineer and assisted in the development of antenna systems for the B-2 bomber and F-15 fighter plane. After leaving Northrop, Mr. Thill worked as a Senior Antenna Design Engineer at Motorola, where he was the lead design engineer for the Iridium handset antenna. He independently developed the first low-profile antenna for the two-way communications industry and then founded Antenna Plus, LLC in 1991. Mr. Thill served as owner, sole designer, marketing, sales and more, slowly growing the company into a multi-million dollar a year business until it was bought by Airgain in 2017. He is the holder of 12 patents and counting, and currently serves as Airgain’s Vice President of Engineering.

Kathy Pearson

Vice President of Global Human Resources and Administration

Kathy Pearson joined Airgain as Vice President of Global Human Resources and Administration, in November 2018, with over 25 years of experience in global, growing organizations in multiple industries including biotech, medical device, nutraceuticals, financial services, hospitality, and healthcare. Prior to Airgain, she led the human resources and administration functions for a global financial service company in San Diego. Kathy has held senior level Human Resources positions with Hilton Hotels, Axis Global Logistics, Marriott Hotels, and many early-stage R&D organizations. Pearson earned her B.S. in Marketing and M.B.A. in Organizational Development. Kathy is assuming all the Human Resource initiatives at Airgain, including mergers and acquisitions, organization development, cultural integration, IT, and logistics.

John Pan

General Manager, Asia

Mr. Pan serves as Airgain’s General Manager, Asia, is responsible for Asia sales, marketing and team management. He brings over 18 years of Information Technology (IT) and sales experience. Prior to joining Airgain, Mr. Pan worked for global leader, Xerox, as a System Analyst, helping to optimize and develop customer business and networking. He also gained experience at Maipu, a telecom solution company in Chengdu, where he was promoted from Engineer to Region Technology Manager, and finally became the Telecom Industry Technology Manager, in which he directed the company’s telecom industry planning and execution efforts. He brings comprehensive design and engineering experience to Airgain, particularly when it comes to Chinese telecom network technology. Mr. Pan holds a B.S. in Computer Communication Engineering from Chengdu University of Technology, and an M.B.A from University of Electronic Science and Technology of China.

Morad Sbahi

General Manager, EMEA

Prior to joining Airgain, Mr. Sbahi served as general manager EMEA for SMC Networks, Inc., a provider of customer premise equipment for service providers, where he led the development of SMC’s European business and directed the company’s planning and execution efforts across the market. Mr. Sbahi brings over 18 years of international executive management experience in the telecommunications industry to Airgain. A recognized industry leader, he has held executive management positions with such companies as Broadcom Corp. (BRCM-NASDAQ), Texas Instruments Inc. (TXN-NASDAQ), and Ubee Interactive, where he was Vice President of Marketing and Business Development for EMEA for four years. Mr. Sbahi holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Virginia Tech and an M.B.A. from the Warwick Business School.

Reed Pangborn

Vice President, Channel Sales North America

Mr. Pangborn joined Airgain as Vice President for Channel Sales, North America in December 2017, with over 25 years of industry experience working for AT&T and its predecessor company, McCaw Cellular. He previously worked for global telecom leader Ericsson. Mr. Pangborn’s roles across his career have focused on sales leadership, contract management, sales operations, advanced mobility solutions, and applications sales. Mr. Pangborn is now leading Airgain’s expansion into strengthening channel sales throughout North America with an emphasis on IoT, public safety, and fleet management solutions. Reed earned his B.A. with a dual major in political science and psychology from Claremont McKenna College.
