<p><strong>Carlsbad, Calif., January 2, 2012 — </strong>Airgain, Inc., an industry innovator in smart and embedded antenna technology that is improving wireless connectivity in next-generation gateways, set-top boxes and media devices, today announced the hiring of Bill Bidermann as the company’s Vice President of Engineering. Bidermann has more than more than a quarter-century of engineering experience, including executive leadership positions in manufacturing, engineering and technology development.</p>
<p>“Bill’s expertise will allow us to effectively scale our technology platform, while maintaining the cost efficiencies and product performance Airgain is known for,” said Charles “Chuck” Myers, Airgain CEO. “His intellectual creativity and leadership ability are second to none in this industry and will allow us to build a successful, world-class technology company.”</p>
<p>Mr. Bidermann’s career has been marked by successful engagements at some of the biggest names in the technology arena. He served in executive positions with a variety of Silicon Valley companies, including Pixim, Chromatic Research and Tripath Technology. He served as Senior VP of Engineering at S3 Inc., a leading PC graphics company, and VP of Engineering for HaL Computer Systems where he led IC development teams in a landmark design of the first SparcV9 processor. Previously, Bidermann worked for Digital Equipment Corporation, where he led a wide range of engineering and research initiatives including the 21064, the first Alpha microprocessor. Mr. Bidermann began his career designing DRAMs and CCDs at the HP Labs and TI&#8217;s Central Research Lab.</p>
