Airgain Inc. announces appointment of
Vice-President Global Sales
Carlsbad, Calif.; October 18, 2006
– Airgain, Inc., a smart-antenna
innovator, improving wireless
connectivity for the mass market,
welcomes Billy Crotty to the position of
Vice-President Global Sales responsible
for cultivating and maintaining the
company’s relationships with OEM and ODM
customers in Asia, Europe and North
America.
Mr.
Crotty comes to Airgain from Esmertec, a
Swiss technology leader and software
solutions provider for
telecommunication, interactive
multimedia, and consumer electronics
markets, where he was Executive Vice
President, Worldwide Sales and Asian
Operations.

Crotty is an accomplished technology
executive recruited to Airgain for his
ability to build global relationships
between technology innovators and their
manufacturing customers around the
world,” says Airgain President and CEO
Pertti Visuri, Ph.D.
During
his 18 years in sales, business
development, engineering, strategic
planning, and project and product
management, Mr. Crotty has worked in
both the U.S. and Asia. Prior to joining
Esmertec, Mr. Crotty was COO at Cellon
International where he was responsible
for EMS management, sales, and strategic
relationships with hardware and software
partners. He was instrumental in
building Cellon to become a leading
independent design house and wireless
terminal provider.
Mr.
Crotty holds a bachelor of science
degree in Production Engineering from
UCL Ireland and an MBA from Babson
School of Business, Wellesley
Massachusetts, USA.
