Marketing Specialist

Job Description

The Marketing Specialist will report to the Marketing Director and serve as a liaison between all departments, helping with event planning and execution, digital campaigns, and strategy implementation. The Marketing Specialist will:

  • Collaborate with the Marketing Director to coordinate domestic and international events, including the development and execution of event goals, strategy, and event reports
  • Manage event logistics, including show services, shipping, supply coordination, travel arrangements, customer events, and meeting schedules
  • Travel to conferences and tradeshows, and oversee the setup and break down for events, coordination with local and on-site vendors, and booth/meeting suite traffic
  • Create and manage pre-, during, and post-event marketing campaign efforts, including e-mail campaigns, lead generation, website landing pages, video scripting and production, social media posts, partner co-marketing, etc.
  • Book travel and transportation for all marketing and needs, assisting with other departments to help control the budget
  • Assist with all other marketing and event duties as needed, such as customer gifts, competitor research, and corporate event coordination
  • Manage all project delivery elements within time limits based on budget projections
  • Provide Accounting team with monthly marketing accruals and quarterly event plan updates
  • Assist with public relations activities, including wire distribution and drafting press releases related to upcoming events, corporate updates, financial updates, new product launches, and new partnerships
  • Implement social media marketing strategy, including the writing and scheduling of content related to industry trends and news, company press releases, conferences and events, and new products
  • Assist with all e-mail marketing efforts, including pre- and post-event campaigns, newsletters, product launches, and other campaigns as needed
  • Collaborate with product management and other key content contributors to develop blog posts and case studies for distribution through various mediums
  • Work with graphic department to conceptualize and communicate the company’s brand identity, positioning, and messaging through all brand touchpoints (PowerPoint presentations, print, website, e-mail, social media, events, internal, and B2B marketing collateral and packaging)
  • Assist in development of SEO strategy, including WordPress management, Google Analytics, keyword research, and digital strategy implementation
  • Identify and implement areas of process improvement, e.g., Microsoft Teams
  • Identify and implement areas of process improvement and lead management through Microsoft 365, NetSuite, HubSpot, Zoho, etc.
  • Work directly with the sales team, product management, and channel partners to deploy and optimize marketing initiatives
  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends and analytics practices to enhance understanding of Airgain’s product offerings and position within the market
  • Provide competitive intelligence and market segment reports from industry events and research initiatives


Job Requirements:

  • Strong organizational and time management skills with ability to prioritize and deliver projects by assigned deadlines
  • Work well in a team setting or independently
  • Polished and professional, with ability to interact, communicate, and present ideas clearly
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience in writing, proofreading, and editing creative and technical content across different mediums
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint
  • Familiarity with Adobe Creative Cloud, including Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign a plus
  • Strong digital and online marketing experience a plus
  • Experience with CMS (WordPress a plus) and website design, SEO experience a plus
  • Familiarity with CRM software, such as NetSuite and Zoho a plus
  • Familiarity with marketing automation software a plus, such as HubSpot
  • Knowledge of technology-related industries a plus
  • Experience in graphic design and visual communication a plus
  • Some travel required, potentially international – must have valid driver license and ability to obtain a passport
  • Outgoing personality, high energy, highly motivated, and quick learner

Education and background:

  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in marketing, communication, business administration, or a related field
  • A minimum of two years of direct experience in marketing required
